Rob Roy Challenge



2.00pm – 9.00pm
Check-in will be open on Friday at the Kenmore Hub. Here you will be issued with all you need to safely complete the Challenge.


7.00am – 10.30am
Check-in on Saturday at Kenmore Hub.

8.00am – 11.00am
Be sure to get a good night's sleep for the early rise on the Saturday morning. The start line is open for Rob Roy Ramble, Big Red and Schiehallion’s Shadow route options.

8.30am – 11.30am
Runners or walkers reach the 1st waterstop at Urla Farm around 9 miles into the event.

9.00am – 5.00pm
Runners or walkers reach the 2nd waterstop at The Lochan around 11 miles into the event.

10.30am – 6.00pm
Runners or walkers reach the 1st checkpoint at Kenmore after 14 miles, where you will make the quick change into your cycle gear and switch to bikes at the Kenmore transition zone.
Rob Roy Ramble (Green route) participants complete their challenge here on arrival at Kenmore.
Big Red (Red route) and Schiehallion's Shadow (Black route) participants leave Kenmore heading for Kinloch Rannoch for the 35 and 56 mile cycle options.

10.30am – 6.00pm
Big Red (Red route), Schiehallion's Shadow (Black route) and Etape Rannoch (Purple route) participants arrive at the 3rd checkpoint at Kinloch Rannoch. Big Red participants turn off back towards Kenmore for the final 16 miles cycling, while Schiehallion's Shadow and Etape Rannoch challengers carry on around Loch Rannoch. Be sure to pick up some snacks and water before the final road climb up towards Schiehallion.
Any Schiehallion’s Shadow or Etape Rannoch participants who reach the 3rd check point at Kinloch Rannoch after 5pm will be automatically diverted on to Big Red route.

11.30am – 8.00pm
Schiehallion's Shadow (Black route) and Etape Rannoch participants arrive at the final checkpoint back at Kinloch Rannoch before the final ascent over the summit road.

Kenmore Hub food & drinks open

12.15am – 9.00pm
All participants reach the Finish Line at Kenmore to receive their well earned Rob Roy Challenge Medal and a fabulous reception from all of the supporters, volunteers and friends and family.
