Launched in 2006, the staff-run Martin Currie Charitable Foundation (MCCF) celebrated its tenth anniversary in January 2016. In this time, almost £3 million has been awarded to good causes across a broad range of categories, including health, welfare, international aid, the environment, education, community and culture. We have also supported our network of offices in London, Singapore, Melbourne and New York, enabling locally based staff to support local needs on behalf of the Foundation.

MCCF is supported by donations from Martin Currie as well as funds raised by the Rob Roy Challenge event. Martin Currie also provides significant financial support to the Rob Roy Challenge to ensure the ongoing success of the challenge as the MCCF's flagship fundraising event. Monies raised by the Rob Roy Challenge are distributed by MCCF primarily to the Rob Roy Challenge Annual Charity Partner and the MCCF Charity Partners.

MCCF also support a number of other charities who are beneficiaries of funds raised by the Foundation. In 2016 these will include Bloodwise, Crohn's and Colitis UK, Cystinosis Foundation UK, and Leith Acorn Centre.

Volunteering can be as valuable to the communities we support as cash donations. MCCF works with Martin Currie to provide opportunities to staff to engage in volunteering opportunities with the Charity Partners and beneficiaries to help develop new skills and grow, both as individuals and teams. Each member of Martin Currie staff has an allowance of one day per year to devote to volunteering.
