  • Directions

    To the start at Drymen

    • From Glasgow - Take the A809 from Bearsden and follow north to Drymen.
    • From Edinburgh - Take the M9 from Edinburgh to Stirling followed by the A811 to Drymen.

    Having checked in at the Town Hall take the minor single-track road out of Drymen for just over three miles to the start car park.

    To Aberfoyle check-point 1

    Support vehicles to continue along the single track road to Aberfoyle via the village of Gartmore.

    To Callander check-point 2

    Continue north along the A81 to Callander. Before crossing over the bridge into Callander turn left at the roundabout and follow signs to Wheels Cycles.

    To Balquhidder check-point 3

    Drive back into Callander, cross the river and turn left onto the main street and head north along the A84 to Balquhidder.

    To Killin check-point 4

    Continue North along the A84 via Lochearnhead, turning off to Killin on the A827 by the Lix Toll Garage.

    To the finish at Kenmore

    Follow the A827 along the North side of Loch Tay (support teams are not permitted access along the south side) for 17 miles to Kenmore.

    Although there will be the opportunity for participants and support teams to camp at Kenmore, either in their own tents or in marquees, some people may prefer to stay in local hotels or guest houses.

    Glengyle steadings and bothy

    Five self catering appartments are available with the McGregor walled grave yard at the rear.
